Foreshore Project
University of Cape Town 2020
The Urban Node project was the second segment of my masters thesis focussed on the development of the Cape Town Foreshore. It aimed to develop a liveable urban environment through a framework that considered the street, park environments, multimodal transit and sustainable density.
Hi, I’m Roark Robinson, a South African architect who is interested in taking on challenges that materially impact the world we live in. In aid of this, my work has developed a strong focus on publically engaging spaces and an interest in the development of effective archetypes, which in conjunction with sustainable urban development strategies can lead to architectural insertions in both urban and natural environments that bring outsized benefits to both current and future generations.
This is the start of a journey. Let’s see what we can do together.
